The Little Hurt (Sept 28)

Picture
The Little Hurt is the Sunday following The Big Hurt every year, and is a youth-focused multi-sport event featuring rowing (on rowing machines), bicycling, and running. It takes place on the Peninsula College campus with the start/finish line on the Campus Green.
Here is a video of the 2024 event.

Maritime Festival (June 7-8)

Picture
The Maritime Festival, sponsored by the Port of Port Angeles, features Coast Guard helicopter search and rescue operations, marine trade recruitment opportunities, and a whole assortment of other activities. We might be at Hollywood Beach providing Learn to Row opportunities.

Day of Play (July 26)

Picture
This year the Day of Play, sponsored by the Port Angeles Parks and Rec Department, falls on the Saturday before our Beach Sprint races, so we will already have our boats at Hollywood Beach and our race course set up. Come down to Hollywood Beach and get your passport stamped, learn about Beach Sprint racing, and try out our very stable coastal rowing boats.

Crabfest (October 10-12)

Picture
This huge festival in downtown Port Angeles always happens the same weekend as the American Lake Fall Classic, so we have not been able to attend for the last few years. For 2025, we're counting on our team being big enough that we can have a presence at Crabfest even while some of us are at American Lake.
