Rowing is a lifelong sport and we prove it, with rowers from 10 years old to their mid-seventies. Almost all of our rowers came to us with no previous rowing experience. We have stable boats for learning and sleek racing boats suitable for competing at USRowing Nationals. For middle schoolers and older, we provide four seasons of rowing. That means that the opportunity for rowing exists any time of the year, but there is built-in flexibility to allow for participation in other activities. The winter season, which begins in early November with the end of Daylight Savings Time, is primarily indoors on rowing machines. The spring season begins in March and for youth, spring is the primary racing season, culminating in late May with the NW Regionals and the Nationals in Sarasota FL in mid-June. For youth and adults, the summer season begins when the school year ends. Summer is a great time for learning and there are many racing opportunities as well. The fall season begins with the beginning of school, immediately after Labor Day. The great weather of late summer usually extends into fall, and while the leaves turn color this is the time of most reliable flat water, making it another excellent season for learning.
