Competitive and Recreational Rowing
The Olympic Peninsula Rowing Association (OPRA) offers an exciting opportunity for the youth and adults in our community. Our boathouse is on scenic Ediz Hook.
Rowers experience fitness, teamwork, competition, and fun in this program while also gaining solid rowing and valuable life skills.
Affordable fees, along with community donations for equipment and program scholarships, combine with volunteer support to make this rowing program accessible to all youth. Rapidly growing participation, supported by community donations, continues to move this program toward the goals of sustainability and accessibility to a wide variety of rowers. We have also grown our "Masters" rowing program within our community.
Through the support of our donors we can:
- Provide scholarships to low-income families
- Purchase equipment to serve a growing member base
- Provide competitive rowers with the tools and equipment they need to be competitive regionally and nationally
